Tomorrow is my EA SPORTS Active 5K Challenge. I have to say I am really nervous, but I have support from one of my favorite Wii Mommies Momspective. We will be treating and texting with the hashtags #easactive and #wiimoms so be watching for us. Since I have my new phone I will be taking as much video and pics as possible. Remember the phone is new so bare with me hopefully they turn out ok. Just in case I do have someone that is not walking taking pictures.

Since I have known about this for over a month I have been working on getting ready for it. Since I do not have a gym membership I use my wii fit and EA SPORTS Active to get me going. Hopefully I have done enough. I plan to be able to walk the next day.

A 5K is only 3.1 miles and I can do that with no problem walking. So, I have been in my living room running in place trying to make it 3 miles. I have yet to make it running not because of being tired but because of another bad habit. That is a whole other subject.

When the 5K Challenge was announced it was suggest we follow a routine workout to prepare ourselves for this Challenge. I for one did not follow it like I should have and am sure I will pay for it later.

Remember just because you don’t didn’t get to participate in this challenge; I am sure there will be more in the future whether it be on a personal challenge or a company challenging you. Please remember the only person holding you back is you and you can succeed at anything you set your mind to accomplishing. There is an abundance of people out here willing to do all we can to help everyone/anyone achieve their goals. All you have to do is ask. We have a GREAT support system going and I want to thank the Wii Mommies for starting this and also thank Ea Sports for EA SPORTS Active.

Now for my so-called healthy recipe. I came up with this one all on my own so I hope you enjoy. I use pinches in my recipe so try to judge while adding ingredient in.

Take 4 – 6 chops. I usually cut them ½ – 3/4 thick

Use 2 tablespoons of EVOO in baking pan spread evenly

Lay chops in the pan

Mix in bowl cumin, garlic, rosemary

Use a small spoon to sprinkle spices onto chops

Add pepper (almost forgot that)

Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 25-30 minutes on 350 or until temperature reaches 145 degrees.

Let cool for 5 minutes and serve. Always check your pork to make sure it’s done but this is what I use.

I also steam some broccoli and carrots and summer squash or zucchini (always a nice add)
